Confessions of an Adventure-Holic: Introduction (Also my "About The Author")

Hello, my name is Taylor Ryerse and I am addicted to adventures. Short ones, long ones, medium length ones. All kinds of adventures, and as many as possible. Everything from Nerd Nation to Author's Cafes at the local library to average-everyday-normal-girl-life. I go to so many different events every year to feed my addiction.

My other passion is, you probably already guessed it, writing. I have always loved writing! I started writing stories and poetry when I was about seven--admittedly, it wasn't always all that fantastic. I got better over the years. Or I like to think I did, anyways. I am a published poet and short-story writer. I also have a few articles published in different local papers.

I am a sophomore in college, studying journalism. I am graduating soon with my associates in May (2016), and then I plan to work towards my bachelors and eventually masters degrees in communications. I love learning pretty much anything, so school doesn't really bother me. It also gives me the opportunity to practice my writing in different ways.

I want to combine my passions of writing, learning and adventure-going. I plan to use this blog to analyze and report on all of the different adventure opportunities I am blessed enough to take. Hopefully this blog will help my readers to learn more about their potential adventures. It should also aid them in choosing appropriate adventures for their lifestyles, if it is done properly. I want to share what is good and what is bad about the different adventures I go on. If other adventure junkies read my blog, they will then have a better idea what to expect from certain things. That is the overall goal.

Thank you for taking the time to read my unofficial introduction! Please enjoy this blog! Also, to my fellow adventure junkies, make sure to comment and tell me about your adventures as well! I'd love to hear about them!

God bless, adventure on!

Taylor Ryerse
